We would like to invite you to a talk by one of Britain’s most prominent scientists Professor Lord Robert Winston on the 15th of February at 6pm. He will be talking about his new book “Bad Ideas” which is due to be released on the 18th of February. This book is about some of mankind’s greatest discoveries and inventions and how many of them have made things worse. This very interesting talk will be taking place in room 403a in the electrical engineering building in Imperial College.
This Monday evening over 80 students and staff members of Imperial College, together with members of the local Jewish community, gathered to hear Professor Lord Robert Winston.
As students gave out pamphlets promoting boycotting Israel in the Sir Alexander Fleming building in Imperial College's South Kensington campus, Jewish students sat proudly eating kosher food. Kosher food at Imperial College is not a new thing. "It was in 1970" Mr Freddie Hager, then a Law student at UCL, recalls.
